In honor of the 234th US Marine birthday 234 copies will be limited and numbered 1 through 234 and signed individually by the author, Earl LeClaire. "CoveCreekFarm.org's Old-Timey Appalachian Good Foods and Game Cookbook" is a beautiful unique cookbook compiled by nationally known poet Earl Leclaire. The book includes recipes from the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina along with mountain lore, history of the region, beautiful pictures and special stories and poems from families struggling with addiction and providers who treat at risk youth. All proceeds from book sales are donated to the non profit mission at Cove Creek Center,Sugar Grove,N.C. It is so much more than a cookbook and serves equally well as a coffee table book. The book includes a special dedication to the US Marines published on Nov 10 2009 the 234 birthday of the US Marines as founder Rabbi Chris Christenbury utilized his experience in the Marines as a core tenant in the development of a program that truly helps save these at risk youth helping them reach their full potential.
